I bought a FX1000 4-16 Mil FFP. It's sitting in the box until I get a T1X, then I can't decide if I want to put the Nikon on my 300wm or the T1X. A 5-20 NF SHV is on the 300wm right now.

Did anyone here ever do a decent review on these scopes? I was in contact with two Nikon reps. They were all about loaning me one to review, but never did put their money where there mouths were.

I ordered a 4-16 Milrad for an 18" 6.5G. I've only had it out of the box for a couple of minutes, so not really much of an input yet.

They were ok scopes. My buddy has one. Not great glass, turrets were mushy, overall design was mediocre from an eyebox, FOV, DoF standpoint. But it did track well and the reticles weren't awful and it was a perfectly useable scope - just not the best when compared to others.
I wouldn't have recommended it over most of the other stuff in its price range, to be honest. Vortex, Burris, Athlon, SWFA all made better stuff for around the same money.

i need a red dot for my Volquartsen pistol. I have a still unwrapped Burris Fast Fire III but I may be looking at the trijicon SRO or the LeupyDelta Point Pro with the 7.5 moa delta point "dot"

If it's not a Nightforce, I'm looking more at where the scope is made and company longevity and reputation. Japan is what I'm looking for. The SWFA, Weaver & Trijicon scopes I have that were made in Japan have never failed me.
I have bought my last Vortex and Leupold. I wouldn't even consider a Nikon since they are getting out of the business.
