Meatloaf is one of those meals that people have HUGE bias about. Me, I like pretty much all of them. With cheese, without, with ketchup or BBQ sause, onions or bell pepper. Well, I made this simple little recipe and it came out GREAT!

1 pound ground sirloin
1 pound ground venison
1 packet of Lipton beef and onion soup mix
1/3 cup of ketchup
2 eggs
2 cups of bread crumbs
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 cup of chopped cilantro
2/3 cup of water
3 tablespoons fajita seasoning

Combine all and throw it in a greased or non stick meatloaf pan. 350 degrees for one hour.

Now, my wife can smell venison from 10 miles away. The very sight or smell of it and she runs like hell. She ate her entire plate. So, if you have any venison haters, just sneak it in there when mixing. The color goes away quick with the addition of bread crumbs. ALSO, the venison makes this meatloaf way less greasy.

Enjoy!

Nothing better than a cold meatloaf and mashed potato sandwich for a late night snack!

Covered that! Jalepenos are good too! If they're in your pantry or garden. I didnt have any this time. Sometimes people use rotel, drained in their meatloaf.

sounds good !!!

Try canned onion rings instead of bread crumbs or crackers

Also I sometimes add black olives or mushrooms, but not everybody likes them...

Made it again last night. Here are my updated ingredients. Love Jimmy Dean crumbles in there.

You can use whatever recipe you like best, but once you smoke one using that fave, you'll never want one any other way. Smoked at 225* until internal temp of 165 is stupid good.

Regardless the recipe (I will try this one) I always use 1/2 venison and 1/2 wagyu ground.

My garden is loaded with cilantro. Thanks for the heads up.
