Fortunately for him....Canebrake/Timber Rattlers tend to be docile. They really have to feel threatened to get stirred up.

But then the guy was basically standing on it (just below the pallet) as soon as he entered the blind. That's good Cardio.

A few years back I saw a pretty good sized one that had been run over right in front of my sisters place in Sherman. I didn’t know we had timber rattlers in her area, but she sure as heck does. Neat looking snakes with those chevrons.

I've had a Water Moccasin swim part way into our water level duck blind. One guy said "Snake" rather casually, the other guy immediately shot him with a 12 ga., giving us all quite the bath.

His experience would have been something, particularly with a Rattlesnake.

Something like that happened to me with a rattler. I killed it with the butt of my stock. When it was all over, I found that I had peed in my pants.

Wow never thought about that. I gave my nephew a 2 man blind with a pallet floor just sent him a text telling him time to put down some plywood.
