I've been using a Carlson's BlackCloud(I don't shoot BC) Mid Range for about 3 seasons now and I generally like it.
I just added Carlson's "Cremator" in Close Range and Long Range.

I also added a Carlson's "Delta" in close range for my Remington 870 "Buddy Gun"...

What are you all running in your guns and what have been your experiences, positive or negative?

99% of my shotgun shooting is with buckshot and slugs.

In the 870s the Carlson's Sporting Clays .690 Extra Full Choke is money with 00, 000, and Tri-Ball Buckshot.

In the Novas and Super Novas the Carlsons Sporting Clays .685 Extra Full Choke is money with 00, 000, and Tri-Ball Buckshot.

12-16 inch patterns with 00/000 at 40 yards and 1.5-4 inch patterns with Tri-Ball Buckshot at 40 yards. I have not found the need for fancy chokes like the Patternmaster or Kicks Buckkicker but I am also not above buying one and testing it either.

I'm glad to hear you like Carlson's. I don't really shoot any buckshot at all but thank you for the suggestion. I'll put that in the memory bank if the need arises.

I bought a Stoeger extended choke for my M3500 this season and I’ve been happy with it. Before that, I was using the chokes that came with the shotgun and they weren’t extended chokes.

Depends on shell I’m shooting and what it patterned best with. Either carlsons, patternmaster or factory.

I started using the Carlson Cremators about 3 years ago. The Long Range choke patterns great and is my main choke. I used it with great success on Alaskan Sea Ducks and will be taking it to Boston in a few weeks on some East Coast Sea Ducks, too. Don’t always use it when hunting NTX as my shots typically aren’t that far.

I run Patternmaster Code Black Duck and Timber in both my 12 and my 20 gauges. Hands down the best chokes I have ever used. It's not all about the pattern, but also the shot string. Since I started shooting one 5+ years ago, every guy I hunt with (except one) now shoots a Patternmaster because of the results.

I own Briley tubes, a Muller featherlight, and a Patternmaster classic. The PM is the only choke I duck hunt with, as its the only full choke I own besides my factory Beretta tubes (which I almost never use).

I only own one Muller tube, a U2 featherlight, and I can testify to its incredible performance. I purchased it this year, and it was the only tube in my gun for dove season. I have shot with others who have been using their waterfowl chokes, and I can say from first-hand exposure that they hit hard. Certainly a great option.

As for the PM, this is my second season with it, and couldn't be happier. It is a long-range classic, and effectively kills birds out to ranges about 50 yards. Any shot longer than that usually brings them down but requires a follow-up shot. I highly recommend looking into a PM, their reputation and performance is second to none.

I noticed the other day that the SBE 3's come with extended and flush choke tubes. At Scheels they had some SBE 3's with a Briley package that included bolt handle and extended choke tube. I don't know if this Briley package is unique to Scheels but it was a nice setup.

Stock chokes for ducks and geese. IC most of the time, Full for pass shooting or geese unless they're in my face.

I shoot estate or rio royal blue cheap steel through a patternmaster if I’m shooting an auto loader. The patternmaster is the best I’ve used. Frankly the patterns are so dense it may be overkill with a lot of pretty shot up birds. For decoying birds you can do just fine with a factory IC or Mod.

I have a Briley Helix in mid-range . Before this one I was using a Carlson's. Really like the Briley so far.

I use the hevishot chokes both the mid and extended ranges. I like the extended range choke when we hunt big open water
and use the mid range in the woods and when hunting over decoys in the blind. I have a set for both my Remington and
Benelli. I get consistent patterns with them and I am able to take waterfowl more consistently at longer ranges.
