Does anyone not use feeders or plant food plots on private land ? I have 40 acres in ETX. I am surrounded by deer leases an hardly ever see any deer. I am not able to plant food plots and I am running 2 feeders with plain corn. I have tried flavored corn and rice bran but nothing comes to anything. I mow the pipeline and trails. Should I just let it grow up and hand corn on the ground? Thanks for any advice.

You can find trails the deer take and hunt those. Your odds of getting onto a bigger buck will be higher. If you are just hunting for meat - it's best to keep your feeders going. Food sources definitely increase the odds of seeing deer
Are you not seeing anything while sitting in the blind or not seeing anything on game cam?

Why can't you plant food plots? Health reasons or other reasons? Have you got any oaks trees? If you have an oak flat, that is as good a food plot as you can have especially early in the season. Daniel

A tornado in 2016 destroyed a beautiful hardwood bottom on our property. After that the timber was thinned out and after all of that the briars and underbrush have grown up so thick you cant even walk around in that bottom no more. I have a tractor with a bushhog and I keep the trails and pipeline mowed. Also, my 40 acres is surrounded by deer leases so deer have a hard time getting to my small acerage. I hunted every day this week and saw 1 small doe.
