How many hunts do yall guys normally get in during the season?
Including teal season I normally get 30-40 hunts in. I'm at 24 so far and should get another 10-12 hunts in january.
The wife is starting to get alittle pissed, lol.

How'd does everyone manage work and family life?

How many hunts

I'm usually 30+, but I've got a versatile breed now so I've mixed in a lot more upland hunts. Should still end up around 30.

Empty nester now so kid duties are out the window. Luckily the owners of the company I work for are very accommodating and know its what I do. My wife... well, she knew what she was getting into. I can't trust the judgement of somebody that picked me anyway.

Usually around or upward of 20, though I doubt I’ll make that number this year.

There’s a YouTube channel called surviving duck season.

I only hunt when my boss and my wife give me permission.

I'm only at 16 hunts for the year which includes early teal. I should pick it up the rest of the season though. I'd say I'll finish with about 30 to 35 hunts.

I'm at 8 so far. I'll probably end up between 12-15 for the season. I don't even understand how you guys can go 30+ times??? Do y'all have jobs? Lol

I work shift work and my primary hunting grounds is a NWR so I can only hunt on specific days there. There are other options but they don't produce like the refuge. Also, some of those other spots have to have the right weather to hunt them.

Also, I've got a wife and 2 (young) kids. Finally got my oldest on a hunt this season and hopefully next year even more. That should allow me more time in the marsh if I'm able to take the kid(s) with.

If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready!

Some of my buddies can only hunt the weekends, but being my own boss I can get away a couple days during the week generally...plus weekends. This year its been CRAZY busy with work and a new house we bought so thats why my hunt days are down. Seriously....if I could only hunt 5-10 days a year I'd still hunt but I would change the way I approach the season and the way I would spend the monies on this passion. 5-10 days???? my god thats teal season for some elmer

He actually lost interest. That pic there 2007, he was totally into hunting. He still likes to shoot clay, just not hunting.
