My second Axis buck taken off our place near Sheffield in Pecos County in two years. Watched a group of twelve decimate the corn at my feeder and he came in abit late to the party. He never left. eek

Was on a hard line to the feeder but then decided to head away from me. Gave me very little to shoot as he was walking away. Hit him behind his ribs and the 6.5 CM Accubond never exited and was dug into his right front shoulder. Went 25yds before piling up. Measured 28.5" but is my biggest Axis to date. Had my son with me who happened to be trying his hand out at bow hunting with his new present he got for XMas. Couldn't be happier!
