I go to a fairly large church in downtown Fort Worth. It would be interesting to know how many carry during service.

Good guy is standing in back the whole time as if he clearly suspected something off; he takes little to no time to off the bad guy. Did he say if his suspicion was on high alert?

I don't think the second victim (usher standing) is the one who kills the shooter. The only guy on the back row is the one who stood up and got killed.

The guy next to exit on the far left clearly gets a shot off.

Many churches sent members to training after previous shootings and the members went through a training course similar to what air marshals completed(point being it was more advanced training than just getting an LTC).

Agree. And the shooter (the guy in the back that was already standing) is running for office and used to own a gun range/store. He has since said on his Facebook page, and the media has said the same, that it was him who fired he shot, as the video explains in great detail.

I'm on the security team at our church. That guy would not have gotten into our sanctuary. We lock and monitor the entrance after the rush and monitor during the rush. Suspect looking individuals get corraled talked with prayed with etc. Vetted if you will.

A year or so before I started attending the church they did what I just described. Guy left and a few days later shot some family.

Watching the video made me think I need some range time. Dear Lord I hope I never have to shoot someone. More so I hope I don't get shot.

duck, you even been in war? I haven't been in combat but did get deployed with near daily attacks. I saw gunfire coming up in the sky when we were descending for our landing in the 130, that's when I knew it was buck up or be freaked out the whole time. I went in with the mentality I was already living on borrowed time, and the constant attacks just didn't faze me. I still live that way today. Borrowed time with a greater tomorrow. I would worry more about failing at your security job than getting shot...you don't want to go down in history as the security guard who ran from the threat (i.e. florida school shooting).

I don't wish upon anyone the "need" to kill another person, but IF I ever faced with a situation where it was me, threat, and a bunch of people, that threat is gonna have to go through me before it gets to the rest of the people. Not saying it would be hard to get through me, but I would give a few seconds hopefully.

And yes, we all need more range time. That's a given for sure
