I just started researching our 2020 epic road trip vacation...considering driving north thru the rockies then west over to the cascades ....drive south thru tha cascades and sierras...back east they Death Valley, Zion, the painted desert, monument valley, and the petrified forest...

I do have one "want", I have a mini Taig lathe and mill I would like to get them set up so that I can make some miniature weapons, I would like to make a miniature rolling block rifle that shoots 22 shorts, or maybe a smaller caliber wildcat round centerfire round. But I don't see that ever happening.

I hope to do more hunting with my crossbow. Not necessarily deer, I love zapping hogs with the thing. I've promised myself not to go "nuts" about crossbows, like I have with rifles! Back to topic, I plan to get away from mechanical BH's & go back to fixed.

I had an '87 Turbo Regal (essentially a Dark Blue GN) that was my "airport" car. Wife got pissed when I started racing it. I loved the car, but I can buy anything for my '57 Chevy, there isn't a big source of non-performance parts for the GN. Run from a T-Top.

A new (to me) truck. Also, getting rid of my 2 .270 rifles to get one in .280 Rem. I've wanted a .280 for years and never did it, and I'm thinking 2020 will be my year. The nice thing about want lists is they don't have to be completely rational.

T1X to go under the 4-16 FFP scope I got in November. Suppressor would be nice but still kind of a pipe dream.

I need to get a gun safe. other than that i am set and wanting to retire in the next couple months.

None. Just relationships and experiences. Boring I know!! Got a nice hunt end of Jan out west. Ski in March and cruise in June. And lots of food and booze in between!!

Nothing really on the want list in terms of toys.

Will look forward to getting back my taxidermy from the African trip, going to Canada in October and booking another trip for 2021. Also hope to go back after mule deer.

Only thing I have been toying with is the idea of getting a new safe, I have a few guns that I have to stash in cases here and there, not trying to accumulate any more just store what I’ve got.

Mid summer the new Yamaha 700 CC Adventure bike come out, 700 Tenere, will buy one of those more than likely. Really cool Adventure bike trail in Oklahoma that covers a third of the state that’s all dirt I want to ride.

Will either build a 60x60 shop at the place in Rayburn Country or sell it and buy land build a shop. I got to get my tools and crap under one roof.

If I retire in 2020,will sell the house in League City, buy a new one ton Ram truck and 5th wheel toy hauler. Wife’s Idea to travel for a year and them build our last house.

That just for starters, won’t bore will the other stuff, 2020 could be a busy year.
