I know this is intended as humor, but I have been afraid to encounter a warden while hunting or fishing. When I was a little boy hunting and fishing with my father he told me that the only reason to be afraid of running into one was if you are doing something wrong. Since I make sure i follow all the laws and regulations they don't concern me.

I have actually sought them out and they have turned me onto some good spots I wouldn't otherwise know about.

I am pretty much on a first name basis with our game wardens and the next county over and try to always make sure I am legal. The previous game wardens oldest daughter and my daughter were best friends. I had a game warden truck at my house all of the time picking up or dropping off kids.
