From time to time I post up some of the exploits of shooting upland birds over crickets points. I thought I would post up a few pics of cricket pulling duty as a duck dog Saturday morning. My son came in from college Friday and him, cricket, and me went out and decoyed a couple limits of ducks Saturday morning. A solid marking dog strong in the water, Cricket is all in. Tucked up in the cats on his momarsh and me on my marsh stool Birds were working at sunrise. Cricket is in the “down” and locked on to the working birds. Leaving a wake on the way out. Leaving a wake on the way back with a green wing that has its head up. Locked in on more working birds from the momarsh. Delivering another teal. Cricket has been busy. Living large on the way home!

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill
