Browning BLR Model 81 Lightweight in takedown configuration

Chambered in .358 Winchester

Asking $950 with all reloading components, ammo, etc included

Rifle was my primary elk gun for many years. Shot a nice 5x5 with it. smile

Details:

358 Winchester
Talley Lightweight ring/base
Scope is a Redfield Accurange 3x9-40, American made
Weighs 8# 4 oz fully loaded, with sling, scope, rings, etc.
1:12” barrel twist
Trigger has been gone through by competent smith. Now a ~4.5# trigger pull. Very crisp.
Laminate grey stock
I do not have the original box. Purchased rifle 2nd hand.
Takedown configuration
Stock is pretty clean.
Some worn spots on barrel from hunting-related contact.
Front sling post is mounted slightly off center.
I have taped a “dope chart” to the drivers side of the buttstock. I can remove it if you’d like. (never actually needed it in the field. All my kills (deer, pig, elk) were <150 yards.

Ammo/reloading stuff:
RCBS standard die set
20 Primed cases
25 cases need to be trimmed before next load
120 as-fired cases (appx)
50 loaded Partitions (225 gr)
27 loaded Hornady Spire Points (200 gr) (not pictured)
100 unloaded bullets (200gr Hornady Spire Points)
Note: Most if not all brass cases are resized 308 cases.

FWIW, my standard load for this rifle was:

225 Partition
48.0 gr TAC
Win LR primer
Seated to 2.770 COAL

An extra $50 if I have to ship to an ffl. Ammo will have to ship separately direct to buyer. Prefer FTF. Denton/Carrollton area.

attached is a picture of the brass, ammo, etc that goes with the BLR.

I also forgot to mention that I still have the original iron sights (high vis fiberoptic front). I took them off for a (slighly....) sleeker finish.

GLWS, I rebored a Savage Hog Hunter to .358Win and it is my go to caliber now. Hits em like Thor's hammer with no more recoil than .308.
