Sweet classic. I bought a 1921 a few years back in similar shape for $350. If it had the original stock it would go for a good bit more.

Do a little research. The forearm looks a little long in front of the barrel band. There was a few years that this was called an eastern or something like that. Could add a little value. Have the stocks been refinished? Photos make it hard to tell. Overall condition is important as well. I think 30 wcf was the most common caliber, so it may not have a ton of value but it is certainly a great piece of history and a really nice find.

Correction: It's not an Eastern. They did not have a saddle ring.

Collectors Firearms in Houston advertises a 1924 SRC for $1695. It is original and the photo shows long fore end wood. Collectors is not exactly a bargain basement operation.
That said, mine appears to be in better condition than theirs and I did not pay anything close to their asking price.

Nice find. Gun Broker is your best resource for current value.

That action might be "in the white" no nickel involved.

Collectors is a pretty good source. They are known for having authentic guns and even though a little high sell a ton of those guns.
That said your gun is probably worth between 900.00 and 1100.00 Being a 30 wcf hurts the value.
Good find.

The barrel marking "Winchester Nickel Steel" refers to the alloy.
