Looking for any info on the wildlife quality in extreme SW Montague Cty.. I'm talking just north of Jack Cty and SW of Amon Carter Lake.

I'm not really familiar with that country but have a potential hunting opportunity in that area so any info, especially as it pertains to game quality, would be appreciated. If you prefer to share via PM that is fine.

Thanks. Merry Christmas THF! flag

I hunt on a few places near there

1 is 30 miles north and the other is prob 30 miles south

It all just depends like anything else I guess

There are some good deer in the area

How many acres is this?

Well, every place is different depending on:

The game quality is generally good in that area. But, if it has heavy oaks, the acorn crop has been massive and deer sightings have been very limited on my place about 10 miles south of Bowie. I've heard very few shots. Daytime feeder hunting has been a waste of time. If there is a high spot where you can see deer wandering around, it might be interesting. Due to the acorn drop, they ought to be healthy.

Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP
