This little guy is kind of strange looking. we've been seeing some fallow does in that pasture for a couple of years but never a buck. Escape's from a neighbors ranch and he says he didn't loose any of his bucks. There's a young Axis buck in this same pasture but no does. Am I looking at an oddball whitetail or could it be mixed breed. Will they even mix?

First pic was a couple of days ago and way back in the field, second was today.

Quite a few whitetails in there also.

Kind of what I'm thinking but it did do something this morning that got me wondering. Does a Fallow deer flag it's tail when spooked and running? He was with a group of 9 this morning and they hauled arse and all were flagging except this one.

IF you really want to get a good look at him, lets "ground check" him. I can be there in the morning. Cool pictures!

Agreed. Looking at his condition I'd say he lost his mother or got sick. He needs some groceries!

god how I hate wind turbines.

A blight on the landscape like we have never seen before. We have them now in South Texas and it makes me sick to my stomach.

But yes, I agree its just a little yearling whitetail

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I don't disagree with you, but can't help but imagine some people thought the same thing about power lines, roads, fences, tall buildings, or any number of other things scouring the landscape around the globe.

maybe so, but none of those things mentioned are as obtrusive as wind turbines.

Those things are useful, though.
