I never had a bb/pellet gun that wouldn't physically hurt you. We didn't shoot each other. I found most of the kids in school that bragged about bb gun wars and shooting each other with 22's because they didn't hurt that bad didn't even have bb guns lol. dang ninnies. You catch someone bragging about shooting one another with a 22 steer clear. We were super smart kids. We played at night. Only rule was you couldn't shoot at the face. It was night we shot at noise.

I figured you were joking. That area wasn't bad when you were a kid was it? My great uncle built a lot of those houses and I can remember being little bitty and riding with him in a golf cart below the dam of that lake on a small course.

Think it was country lake estates and it was ahead of its time. It was a master planned community way before anyone imagined such a thing. I still say it sits on some of the prettiest land in Rockwall and wish I had bought dozens of lots from Billy Peoples when I could have.
Now Rockwall and Heath have it split I think........don't hold me to that.

I never had any friends that wanted to shoot each other with 22’s. A buddy’s dad got shot with one in the neck when they were practicing for Vietnam their senior year of high school. Same man got shot 1/2 inch from his Nam practice bullet wound after a bar fight in his front yard when his son and I were in JR high. He had bitten a mans ear off and was followed home from the bar. He never got wounded in the Marine Corps. I guess the practice paid off. My buddies used to come over and let my dad shoot us with a red rider while we were running and hiding around the barn in elementary school. Sounded like this, “ Hey, you want to come over and let my dad shoot us with a BB gun? “SURE.” Life was fun growing up in Odessa.

I spend most holidays alone. Cathy is coming home for Christmas. That's enough for me. I would give up all the toys I ever owned for having her here.

Growing up with 9 kids 6 boys, 3 girls and the bread winner dad in the Army we were never asked what we wanted, we usually got clothes and a family game like monopoly. There would be other neat little things that were for the boys like a big plastic bag of Army men, a Football or Frisbee, girls would get a doll or whatever.
We had a blast with the Army men using rubber bands and folded paper wads shooting them down. When we got bored with that it was time to set the head on fire and watching the fire balls drip and the neat zipping sound the little smoke trailed fireballs made falling to the ground.

Always wanted a big motorhome and finally went out and bought one 10 years ago. Now it's not so much fun anymore driving it around and staying on top of repairs. Always something. Selling it and use the cash to fund my Lonestar Beer account.

I used to ride my bike with my double barrel across the handle bars going to back of the trailer park and dove hunt in that field off mims Rd.
