So I am extending my shop. I am building my own metal trussed but I need some metal plates to be used as saddles to put 2 x 6 beams across the top to screw the sheet metal to. Plates would be appx 6" x 7", 4 holes, .25" drilled in them. Then bent into a "U" , I would weld in place on my trusses. Any body do this? If someone could supply any or all the process let me know. Metal needs to be at least .0625 thick. I need about 60 to 80 pcs.

Why not do it all in steel? Weld it all up. Use flat bar to connect your beams to your columns.

why not just use 2 pcs of 1/4" angle, unless you have a good metal brake the bends will likely end up different.

3x3 cut to 2" wide pcs with 2 holes and thru bolts.
