read about this on another forum - note on here the article says they were "told to get down" which I would assume meant out of their tower blind - then the story changed to "one was working on a feeder while the other was messing with something else on the ground" - Have to admit that some of the story sounds strange and peculiar - glad the two hunters were ok

You can't fix stupid

I'm as white as can be and travel to Mexico frequently. There are certainly dangerous parts of Mexico, but it's not all full of cartels and violence. States south of Mexico City (apart from Guerrero) have relatively low violence. Most of the activity is concentrated around the border.

Baltimore, St. Louis, Detroit - they all have higher rates of crimes than Mexico's most populated city, Mexico City. I spent 2 months there last year. Been quite a few times to Mexico City before that and spent lots of time in several smaller towns. I go to the resort areas at least once a year too.

My in-laws own a lot of property in Mexico so I keep up to date with the news and follow the politics there. I feel it's unfair for you to call all USCs "ignorant" about what is going on there...

Not sure how you quoted me as saying that but it wasn’t me.

I hunt 20 miles into Mexico from Nuevo Laredo haha

I went to Mexico with my father in early seventies to fish Lake Guerrero (I think) and fished in the morning and dove hunted in the afternoon. I was amazed when he gave me some bills and told me to shake hands with the guy with the machine gun! It went very smoothly and we proceeded south to the lake and it was a great time. I shot over 100 doves in one afternoon with my Beretta AL2 20 gauge! I had two bird boys collecting birds for me. One of them asked for my hat and I let him have it. The next day he had on somebody else's hat! Anyway a very memorable trip for me.
