Random question, but those two are on my list to get before the 27th. Need a good head lamp and a good goose shell. I can shoot 3 or 3 1/2 shells. Any recommendations?

Goose shells, honestly you need to pattern your gun and choke. It will really be gun dependent. My Browning A5 patterns 3 in Heavy Metal Longer Range #4 shot great but will not pattern 2 shot. It may sound strange but the pattern board does not lye. My Benelli SBE shoots 2 3/4 in Heavy Metal #3 really well and Rio 3 in #2. I use Patternmaster code Black Goose in both.

Headlamp: Streamlight 61200 HAZ-LO, because it uses AA Batteries and big enough that you do not loose it.

Fenix hm65r has been the nedt headlamp I've ever used. Long battery life, rechargable, small enough to fit in my pocket. By far the best gadget I bought this off season.

If it's specifically goose, these have been heavily recommended. Stoning them out to 50+ yards. If ducks are mixed in, everyone mostly recommends a 2 3/4" #4

Headlamp, I boughtt a Milwaukee rechargeable at home depot and it's been pretty good if I remember to keep it charged up.

Ledlenser headlamp. It's nearly my favorite piece of hunting equipment.

I've been using a pelican headlamp the past few seasons and have no complaints. Worth checking out, and is very affordable. My buddy used a Black Diamond, and it was fantastic.

I just use the $10 headlamps at Walmart. By the time they get soaked in my wadet pocket or dropped in the water it's just easier to by cheap for ducks.

No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

I have one of these and it's the best one I've used so far out of about 5 different ones. It's a little bit more expensive, but you can find them on Amazon for $30-50 depending on the model.

I love Hevi-Metal 3.5" BB for geese. Best headlamp in my opinion is a Black Diamond Storm.
