Bird numbers seem to be down but I still managed a limit of pheasants and added a few quail.

This is what I miss. I loved pheasant hunting on my cousins place up around Plainview.

Great pic, Mark. I use to go up to Kansas every year and hunt pheasant with my neighbor. He was from Hutchinson. Hunted his family's land. Lots of fun. Spooked up some big bucks while walking through the CRP land.

I really miss pheasant hunting. I also hunted near Plainview. My father-in-law lived at Halfway, and I would spend a week hunting out there. But the farmers switched over to cotton, and the birds are gone. Last year we also lost my father- and mother-in-law. I've been to South Dakota twice, and hope to do that again.

Good day. I miss hunting pheasant. Hunted around Hereford several times.

Old Yeller in the back with a handful of birds...almost brings tears to my eyes.

I also miss that, growing up n S.W. Ks, before all the irrigation and the milo & corn that are now in production, it was easier to get limits, course knowing where to look helped

One of my favorite hunts, but now am too old and crippled to go.

I went to Wayland University in Plainview and regularly hunted pheasants in Hale County.
