Anyone put a pop up on a base maybe 4 ft up. I got an idea, just curious of others pros and cons of the ways others might have already done it.

Thanks

I did a few years back. It worked alright for my Academy Quad Pod. The only issue was the door opening on most pop ups are in the corner which makes a little tougher access from the ladder. I tied down the bottom to the base and sides to the rails. The pop up stayed up nicely for the 2 weeks with 20 plus mph winds. If the platforms doesn’t have shooting rails it could be a problem with keeping it from collapsing in the wind.

I put a pop up blind on my 4 wheeler trailer. It is only about one foot off the ground but works great for me; stays dry inside, no chance of snakes crawling in, take a pee as it drains through bottom, etc.

was kinda thinking 4 ft up with a 2 ft landing where ladder comes up so you can more easily unzip and get in. Was thinking of 2x6 for floor, kinda like a deck so water could fall through if it got water in. Only gonna use it back in the woods. Will tie it down to wood floor somehow.I see no reason for shooting rail around it. Have a tripod to sit inside with me. Its a 3 man blind with a 58" footprint.I have one of the adjustable chairs that swivel from BP/Cabellas

We have an extra scaffold we use from time to time with 3 treated 2x6s and sheet of 3/4 exterior plywood and then put popup on that.
Put blind close to one end of plywood and put door opening facing opposite end so you have a little porch to enter/exit popup.
Works OK and while not too hard to move, it does take time.

Thought of that too, but was maybe trying not to use plywood because I know water is gonna get in at some point. But an 8' sheet would cover it all and just minimal 2x6 under it
