For those of you who haven't been into your local Walmart today you may want to do so. A lot of them have done a final mark down on handgun ammo and 223/556 ammo. 90% of those calibers are at or below 50% off.

I saw 223 as low as $2.50 a box, 9mm as low as $5, 380 100 packs at $15, 45ACP brass case as low as $7 and similar mark downs on just about all the other handgun and "assault rifle" ammo. I mostly just got 44 Mag since that's all I really needed. Those were $16-$17 per 50 rounds.

For those of you who are still boycotting Wallymart……….well I guess it sucks to be you.

Last night I bought 240 rounds of Tula 223, 250 rounds of Remington 223, and 200 rounds of aluminum cased .40 for $98 and some change.

I went at lunch and got another 100 rounds of each for $24. The lady in the sporting goods said anything left by the 29th was going to be donated to the police department. I’ll be going back on the 28th to clear out anything that’s left, but I doubt anything will be.

Prices on shelf were not marked down but ammo rang up with discount.

My wife was at Walmart when you posted this. I told her to look for 223 ammo that was marked down. She called me when she left the store and informed me that had asked an employee, and they did not have any 253 ammo.

That 253 ammo has been very hard to find lately!!! You may want to rechamber that sucker to something more mainstream.

I'll use this as an excuse to buy a new rifle. That 253 ammo is too hard to find.

Saw someone pick up 2400 rds 9mm today for app $233. Another guy picked up thousand rds for $97.43. This was in Brownwood today and the ammo was selling bout as quick as they brought it out.
No rifle ammo left just pistol.

I got there late but was able to land a couple boxes of .40 caliber for $11 each. The clerk said some guy bought more than $700 worth of ammo earlier in the day.

That wasn’t a mistake, Jeremy, women can come up with lots of ways to tell you “you have too many guns”. :- (

Went to a different location today, found some I’ll use at sale price.

Shelves are getting bare, get it while you can!

I dropped in the Rockwall Wallymart today for a few things. Slid by the ammo counter expecting it to be bare. Was shocked to find 3 more boxes of 44 Mags.

I'm going back tomorrow and if there's any left that I use I'm buying it all!

Not to worry if you missed the sale in your local area. I've never heard why, but Walmart will sometimes slash ammo prices as much as 50%. I can remember a few months back when I paid $9 each for several boxes of Remington Core Lokts.

They generally change the colors of the price labels that appear on the shelf when they have clearance sales. I my most recent case, all the clearance ammo had been changed to white shelf labels.

I talked with a manager today. They are getting out of the pistol and full metal jacket bullet game. None of their hunting ammo is going on sale. I was able to grab some Remington 223 for around .16 cents per round but all of the 9mm and 40 was gone.

I wouldn't recommend waiting.

Local Beeville store only has a lot of freshly available shelf space. I was too late.

Based on the reports here. I stopped into Walmart on Wednesday. About all that they left in handgun ammo was basic fmj in .380, .38 special and .357 Sig. The guy at the counter said that two customers bought almost everything they had with two purchases of $700 and $600.

I picked up a lot yesterday. 750rds 5.56 and another 500 of 300blk out. Then another 250 in 40

Has anyone hit the Sherman Walmart? I’m going today will report back what I find.

I hit the one here and there was pretty much nothing left. The price tags were still on the shelves and none of them reflected sale prices.

Sherman Walmart is cleaned out. Some Tula 308 and 38 special left.
