Some of you may have seen my Cull buck Droopy post in the photos section but I was going back through looking at a buck I was hoping would show back up this season and I am thinking it may be him. Obviously the left side is messed up but the right frame and main beam have the same characteristics. Also looking closer at the pics he has a pretty distinct skull cap to him that look identical. Here are some pics from 2017 and 2018 to compare with this year. I would have had him around 4 or 5 going into this year and kinda stumped at why he would have lost his 3's on both sides.

It could be but with no definite identifiers, like unique scars/ear notches/etc., it's hard to say. Did you tooth him? For him to drop that much from 5.5 to 6.5 suggests we either have the age progression wrong (i.e. Droopy is 7.5 or older) or they're not the same deer.

I would say YES!

Notice the throat patch is the same on both photos where it's visible.
I've used the throat patch as well as other areas to help identify deer.

Looks like it could possibly, maybe, kinda sorta' be the same one. clap Really think it is. Right brow spacing, throat patch. Probably the same buck.

I'd wager it is the same deer. Must have been injured earlier in the year to cause the rack changes he picked up. Not old age.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

I would believe it was and it wasn't.

I don't see anything distinct about the throat patch.

Hard to say from the 2017 photos, but definitely the same from 2018.

No but I'll get the head back at the end of the month when I go pick up the meat and cape. this is the main thing I am seeing that is the same on both bucks. I have gone through a lot of pics through the years and none have this same coloration between the antlers.

I'm going out on a limb and say, 1st and last are same bucks. and the one in the middle is different but same gene pool. Too me the middle buck looks to be the youngest.
