Figured I would poll the group. I've been getting the itch for a new O/U before sporting clay season rolls around. Berettas feel better to me than Brownings do when shouldering, and I like how the actions aren't quite a stiff -- I'm sure a few thousand rounds will change that though. I don't need the Grade V wood, and I typically am rougher on my guns so matte over polished preference wise. Lots of other brands out there though, so what are your thoughts?

I think you answered your own question.

I’d look at the Benelli too.

Browning Citori and Cynergy fit completely differently. Try them both. But agree with TC, go with what fits you in the big brands. They are all great guns.

Shouldering is definitely the most important thing, but I didn't have access to all Berettas, nor did I have Blasers or others that may fit/feel the same around. Point being, give me some things I should seek out and try. 692s, F16s, etc. based on what people like

Problem is finding them on the rack at the local shops to handle!

Forum says "Veteran Tracker". I could not track a garbage truck into a fireworks factory.

Don’t know the OP’s location but try visiting Briley’s in Houston. They have a wide variety and seem knowledgeable. You’ll be able to shoulder several models/brands. I bought a Beretta 691 there today.

A helpful first post is a rarity. Welcome to THF!

Unfortunately, I'm in DFW, but I'll take a look (if I remember) next time I'm down in Houston.

I agree the brownings "feel" different than most O/U's but I shoot very, very well with my browning Citori.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
