Some deer can full you. We had a guy shoot a sika doe once. We was all excited, he called us and said that he just shot the biggest axis doe that he had ever seen.
We also have some fallow that you have to look at twice to be sure they are not axis.

Other than a little lighter in color it looks like an axis with the lower white belly line. Usually a little higher on fallow, or the picture is deceiving.
