Anyone have any experience? Reliability and bells and whistles of different manufacturers?

Years ago. Had one for my company car. Took it with me when I retired. It was really fun at boat ramps. Ford guys with their muscle trucks, hook up and burn rubber trying to get out. I backed up with my front wheel drive mini van, hooked up and eased out.

We just bought a Dodge Journey. Not quite an SUV, not quite a minivan. Pretty good pep, 4spd auto with a 4 banger and room under the hood if you need to work on it after the warranty runs out. 3rd Row says that fold out of the way if you need them to. We only have about 1500 miles on or so far, but she likes it. We didn't buy the fully loaded one with the dealer package and all the bells and whistles.

The wife has had a Caravan and a 4wd Trailblazer and likes this better than both.

Worst POS vehicle we ever owned was a Dodge minivan. It was my first and last vehicle built by Chrysler.

Had a friend in college that wound up with an AMC Pacer. Now THAT's an ugly car. He's still a starving musician, and he still drives a crap car. At least it's a Toyota.

Take a look at the Chevy Traverse. The amount of interior space is not obvious. My wife has put 150,000 miles on hers and wants another one. The 2+3+3 seating, AWD and a ton of practical features make it worth considering. Pay close attention to the amount of space behind the third row. Ours has been 100% reliable, so we may keep it for another 30K to 50K miles.

Went to Ruidoso in the neighbors Kia Sedona, seats six, but not much room left for luggage. With just us 4 it was great, good mileage, comfortable ride, and pretty nice looking. My wife liked driving it, said she would consider one when she needs a new car.

My grandmother has a 2017 dodge grand caravan. Very roomy and comfortable.rides smooth.
Really nice, she got used to the controls very quick.
Downside is maintenance on looks like a real PITA. Looks like someone was playing hide and seek with the spark plugs.

We had a Ford Winstar back in the day....hit a deer and totaled it...

Then had an Expedition and loved it.

Wife drives a Suburban now...that's what I would recommend... 2cents

What kind of a boat can you pull with a mini van? A small sailboat or some very lightweight tin boat.

Can't see anyone pulling a bass boat or pleasure boat with a minivan, it would be very hard to stop in a hurry.
