Signs, by themselves, offer very little resistance. They are generally very non-aggressive. Few people are attacked by signs. Posted signs are apt to move even less. You need to find some free range, feral, aggressive signs! They are much harder to ignore.

I would call the sheriff too, the more eyes looking the better. I have heard of some tracking down trespassers using Face Book, a larger group of people.

Some people just go through life thinking laws only apply to other folks and have no respect for the rights and property of others. 3 hots and a cot courtesy of the county cures that attitude for some, but many simply can't be fixed.

I would make sure the sheriff gets these pictures also. Ugly mug like that should be easy to identify.
