The single digit year code preceding the letter started in 1961 and went until 1969, when the double digit year code replaced it. It changed again in 1975, when browning moved the production to japan. You have a pre 1961 which starts with a letter, T meaning long rifle caliber.

Agreed, looking at the chart, so it has to be between, 55 and 61 since there were no numbers prior to 55. Wondering if anyone thinks it is worth it to have Art completely redo it. He did a Belgium made Tbolt fro me that had a salt stock and it turned out beautiful for about $700 if I remember right. It was handed down to me
