I've got a feral cat in my backyard that keeps getting extremely close to my koi/goldfish pond. As the weather warms, I'm afraid of it getting some of my fish. I have a live trap to use, but was wondering what I could use to bait it into the trap? I'd rather not go out and buy something special, but I will if it works the best for what I need. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, etc.?

I would just buy the cheapest can of cat food that I could find. I think they are less than $1.00.

Tuna. Between my old neighbor and me, we trapped 9-10 using it.

Like others have said, tuna works great. I trapped quite a few feral cats using tuna.
