Saturday I made my first trip this year out to a spot that I've hunted a lot in the past. A very hard to access location, but it was worth the effort. Came away with my highest quality strap of the first split. Did not have a lot of opportunities but what birds I saw worked the decoys well. So far I've spent the season trying out 3-4 new to me public lands on the coast and had mixed results but enjoyed the excitement of learning new options. However, it's nice to see that a spot that has always been "ole reliable" for me still continues to be just that. I think I know where I'll be kicking off the second split!
