My beautiful wife has never hunted before. Prior to me coming along, her Mom(who hunts) and Dad supplied her with deer meat every year. She loves deer and feral pig meat, just has been happy having me go get it. We didn't have the kids this weekend, so I talked her into going and sitting with me while I hunted. She said, "I'll go, but I'm not going to shoot anything." Friday, she said, "Well, maybe I can shoot a pig". So I brought my 5.56 with night vision along so we could sit late for pigs. Saturday we saw a couple of deer, which excited her immensely, then got the night vision ready at dark. Shortly afterwards, we had a whole sounder at one of the feeders. Although we tried to get a shot, she couldn't get comfortable in time and they left. Shortly afterwards we had a lone boar at the other feeder. She made a perfect shot, dropping him in his tracks. Afterwards, she was giddy, saying " That was fun, I could do this again!"
