Sitting here in the drizzle with pops and the dog today. Hopefully a good morning with some birds but always good family time.

Not this morning. Trying to recover from cooking and eating all day yesterday. May go out this eve, but will be out in the morning.

Good luck. Working some today since I was gone earlier in the week.
Next time for us will be next weekend.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

Not me. Earliest will be Monday, and that’s if I can convince my wife to leave her parents’ house a day earlier than scheduled.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

Took my son out today and we did ok. Was warm but windy. Thought it was going to be a bust because we hadn't seen a duck and it was almost 30 minutes after shooting light. Then all of a sudden they were flying. Had a group of maybe 20 redheads come in to my decoys. Didn't want to accidentally shoot more than 2, so I had to wait on my next shot. Ended up wounding one that made it a ways into the pasture. We looked and looked but could not find him. Not a good feeling. The wind died and the clouds parted by 9:00 and the ducks stopped flying. Ended up with a couple redheads, 3 spoonies and a gadwall.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE
