This is my mother's recipe for Pecan Pie. It is pretty simple but it is really good. My wife cooks 2 every Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is her actual hand writing. After she passed , my sister took all of her original recipes that were written on small recipe cards in a small recipe box and copied them. I take them out of the safe every now and then and find something we haven eaten in years. Enjoy

About the same as the one I posted on here several years ago.

I was looking at my threads started awhile back and saw it along with my cornbread dressing recipe.

Just like my mothers recipe. Isn't it amazing how pretty the handwriting of the ladies from times gone by was?

That was taught in school, you had to have good penmanship, mine was just passable.

I have several hundred small recipe cards and I am actually able to read all of them.

That's cool! My wife has her Grandmaw's recipe card file also.

You can prevent the bubbling on the side by heating the crust a couple of minutes before you add the filling. Another problem you might have with the old recipes is the cooking time. The never convection ovens will take less time.

Pecan pie to me is a lot like sex. The worst I ever had was wonderful.
