New to bow hunting. Looking for suggestions for best bows for beginners under $500.

There are plenty of good bows out there in that price range, don't let anybody tell you differently. I always had used bows until I was in highschool when I shot every bow that the two nearest bow shops would let me shoot. I fell in love with the PSE Brute X that had just been released and I paid $450 for the bow, tru-glo 4 pin sight, tru glo whisker biscuit rest, a cheap stabilizer and quiver, a release and 6 arrows. I ended up spending another $50 on a stabilizer which put me right at the $500 mark. I still shoot that same bow even though I've bought two other since then. PSE makes a couple different bows you can get in that $500 range if you shop around.

Do your homework to make sure the bow fits you. A reputable local shop can be your friend, and not just on a bow purchase.
