Im wanting to attempt smoking some jerky this weekend. What do y’all marinate and season with and how long do you smoke and at what temp?

If you want it simple get a premade kit like cabelas sells. They are really easy and hard to screw up. Temp needs to be 160-180 for the first 3 hours or so then I dial it back to 140ish but I'm using a dehydrator.

We like the LEM Backwoods HOT jerky mix . It's not hot just has more flavor. Slice/cut jerky to size marinate over night in fridge and cook. Package will make 25 lbs.
