I bought some of that flavor earlier this week. If the hogs are going for acorns, why not try acorn flavored corn. So I put some out on the power line ROW last evening. This morning, when it was just light enough to see and shoot, I had a huge mob of hogs hit the corn like a freight train. Got two 80 pounders for the freezer.

Now...I can’t really say that it was the flavor of the corn that brought them into the ROW, but I will buy more.

I'm not surprised, we have used Acorn Rage powder with great success hog hunting in late Feb and early March.
Do you not have many acorns this fall ? That may be why they hit it hard, thinking a tree just dropped it's crop.

Nice shooting by the way.

Some of our trees had acorns, but not all of them. But, since corn is building up under feeders, I can only assume there are plenty of acorns somewhere on our place.

I’ve been throwing regular (not designer style) corn out on that same place next to our back pond since before deer season, and haven’t seen the deer activity there that I usually do, and no hogs at all, though the corn was being eaten at night. So maybe the pigs showing up this morning was just due to coincidence or that their watches weren’t wound. No way to know, but I will buy more.

I was planning to give you a hard time, something along the lines of 'taco-flavored enchiladas', but it seems like it worked for you. Good shooting!
