death by broken leg....didn't really need to see a video of that poor doe running on three legs...I think your scope needs a little adjusting. I know nothing about this thing you are using, but the dot was a little low it seemed.

I am not going to argue, if you hit the heart that's fine. But my experience with doe and heart shots is they don't go running a hundred plus yards with one leg dangling and then crumble up under some trees. That doe did not seem shot in the heart, and I certainly wouldn't call what she did "dropped in the bushes" she ran into some cover and fell dead, but drop she didn't do. Keep working at it, and maybe next time show the videos where deer drop or don't go far, but that deer ran quite a ways, and with the floppy leg, it just doesn't do you well. That's all I am trying to say. Market yourself better next time is all I am saying man.

I aimed right thru the lower part of the shoulder which also broke the leg. He dropped right in those bushed dead ,and it was 70 yards she ran.

And too your point the shot was 2 inches low, We were at 2,100 feet elevation and I had the ballistics in the scope for 700 feet elevation (back at home) which is about a 1.5" difference at 300 yards for that round.

Joe, I am not doubting what you are saying. What I am saying is videos like that don't do you or any of us any good when anti-hunters see them. This is an open forum where anyone can get on here and use your video. Having a doe with a floppy leg like that running after the shot is not a good sight for any anti-hunter, and you are better than that. You don't need to publish every video of every animal taken, even if you are super proud of it. You gotta think about what the video portrays to the general public. My wife and daughters are super supportive of my hunting addiction, but they would hate this video and I would never show it to them because it doesn't do you good. Don't know how else to say it, but that's the truth. PS I know you don't publish every video you make, just be mindful of what you are publishing and how it portrays hunting in the future

Going to agree somewhat with Buckeye but know deer hunting is not always DRT shooting. The shot looked legit to me, deer can show amazing strength from time -time. Have seen heart shot deer run 150 yards after being hit with .30-.06 at 200 yards, 150gr bullet and other deer go a little less shot similarly with 7MM Mag, 150 gr. I'd prefer to see more of the DRT shots shown for your doe kills as most in the non-hunting circles affiliate doe with Bambi

Just not a good video to share
and heart shots are great to brag about but does not guarantee an instant drop
I have shot deer in the heart, sliced it in half each time but they have ran away, some 75yds, some 150 yds. A heart shot is like a lung shot They will die, but they may run for a while.
If you want an animal to drop, shock the spine
That's
high shoulder shot high Lung shot Neck Head (not recommended)
and use a bullet that mushrooms reliably like Nosler Partition
Suggestion: Make another video, get the reticle steady (planted and rock steady) not moving like willows in the wind.... show the shot with the animal dropping instantly. That would be more impressive to see

Few things I noticed:
If that was the scope you were looking thru, you weren’t really steady when you squeezed off the shot. Looked to me like a heart shot but from that angle the bullet would have broken the leg as you see here, but the shot seemed rushed.
Second off, why would you Video that and put it online? You make a video every time you brush your teeth as well? Shooting a doe across a field shoot isn’t cause to post a video online, especially one like that.
Come on dude, act like you have been there before. Real hunters don’t want to see this, and non hunters damn sure don’t.
This whole charade you have going just reeks of immaturity.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I've got to agree. Apparently your goal was to promote the camera? Rifle? Caliber? Shoot steel plates for that.

I thought this was a hunting forum. Talk about the flopping leg, too quick of a shot and/or whatever. The hunter who has not personally witnessed something akin to this hasn't taken enough shots.
I had no need to watch the video a 2nd time, but it is something that does happen. At least it didn't get hit, run off and never found.

JT, I'm going to try and drill down objectively to what I think is the underlying thing that has in the past and seems to still "turn off" some of us with your hunting clips. Though I think you have made some minimal steps from prior, I and presumably others feel more progress is still desired. JT, when you shoot your videos, your obvious exuberance to harvest and "get the kill shot in, sometimes multiple shots" often seems to convey less than full respect for the "core respect of hunting" and respect for the animal about to be harvested. This is exhibited in your often quick target acquisition and what looks to be quick shot taking. For me personally, I prefer shows where they give me some basic background about the hunting setup and show the animal to be harvested moving in and telling me a little bit about the size and possible age before letting the shot ring out. With you, it seems, target acquisition, little to minimal animal age, size determination, then shot/s ringing out with a shaky sight picture and muzzle flash as our, the viewers reward. Again, this is my perception and take it as you may.

His videos remind me of cheap porn.....It's all about the money shot.
Give us some lead up, a bit of a back story, ANYTHING.
