I am leaving Monday evening for work to San Antonio on Monday. Dragging my Airstream and will stay on side of road somewhere (Cracker Barrel, Cabelas, Walmart) Monday night
All day Tuesday and Wednesday with a Specialist.( Basically a ride along training thing)
Thanksgiving day, in a state park by myself.

I am hunting Friday, Sat near San Antonio so that's it for me. Opening up a doe weekend only that weekend, so I have to stay.

Kids are coming over Saturday night for turkey and dressing and stuff.

What you got?

Staying home, I have 2 turkeys to fry, and 1 to smoke.

Where around San Antonio are you gonna be? Guadalupe? I can take you a couple of plates. It's no biggie I live 10 miles from there.

Doesn't involve nearly as much hunting as it used to (pre-marriage) and not near as much hunting as I would like.

Actually staying and hunting in Gonzalez County close to Belmont, I appreciate the offer though. My family time and eating time will be Saturday.

Keep in mind, I have a whole 45 day dry aged ribeye (10lbs) I am going to be putting on the grill.

I hope it gets cold there for Thanksgiving or at least on Friday.

Thank you again for the offer, THF has the best people.

Kids have moved out and Wife is spending the holiday with her parents in Pennsylvania. So I'm going hunting up in Oklahoma with my friends. Leaving this Friday and plan to stay until I get tired. Or it's time to go back to work after Thanksgiving.

Hope to get first kill with my new rifle.. [Linked Image]

Oh okay, I thought you had a draw hunt in Guadalupe state park. Good luck on the hunt. I drove down there yesterday, it's looking good. There are hogs, and deer everywhere.

Breakfast Thanksgiving morning with wife and mom, then booking it to the lease to meet my hunting buddy (hopefully leave by 10 am). Come home Monday but I'm off Tuesday as well. Quail don't look great so we are going to fill in with hogs and maybe jump shoot a few ducks.

Plan to travel to our place in Kansas, get there Monday evening, potentially get on the stand with my crossbow right then and there, and plan to hunt for my first buck until Saturday. Spend time with family too, but hunting is my primary objective.

Hubby and I will have our son and daughter-in-law with us. Pig out. Watch football. Pass out from too much turkey. Wake up and start bringing in all of our Christmas decorations. Friday. Gun range. Rest of the weekend, weather permitting I'll fish.

My daughter and I are leaving Saturday for New Braunsfels, Gruene, then over to Bandera for our hunt with STHO . I will have her home Tuesday Evening so she can spend the rest of her Thanksgiving vacation with all her MANY family members.

I , however, will be at my house, alone, watching the Cowboy game and scarfing down a duck, happy as a pig in slop clap

Staying here on our little ranch. The kids aren’t coming this year with their kids, but the oldest grandson is coming, with a buddy from North Carolina. They want to do some shooting, and I have the tools and ammo to satisfy their wants. The wife is looking forward to the guys being here. And, maybe the oldest granddaughter will show up with her apparent future husband. He got a pig last trip here. And he’s hot to do it again. And she loves shooting the Python, which she gets upon my demise.

As for me, I’ll sort of hunt for that nice nine point I’ve passed on so far or the big hog that I’ve glimpsed moving through heavy brush. He’s a whopper. The wife says that if I shoot another deer (the 9 point), she will kill me. I think she’s kidding.

Should be a nice peaceful Thanksgiving. I hope you folks have a good one.

Will have my oldest twin, his wife and my granddaughter come to our house Wednesday night or Thursday morning and going back on Friday. Our daughter will be over Thanksgiving day then back home to her dogs. The youngest twin, his wife and my other granddaughter will be in Montgomery visiting her family so they can come her for Christmas. Hunting the first 3 day of the week and then the weekend. Turkey and dressing, veggies and sweets till we are all stuffed.

Not traveling and both boys will be home from college. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

my crew is coming in this weekend for Thanksgiving, so will spend Friday doing some prep around the house, cooking most of the day on Sat., church & Sunday school, take a nap when the kids all head back home. I'm working most of next week, off Thursday/Friday ... wife and I have talked about helping deliver food to homebound people, work in a soup kitchen serving people TGiving lunch and/or dinner, then hoping to spend Friday thru the weekend in the woods.

Going up to the ranch on Wednesday and maybe do some whitetail or elk hunting and set a few traps.
Our good friends own The Library brewery and restaurant in town here so we'll come back Thanksgiving day for a nice meal with good friends and some great beer, football on the big screens and then back up on Friday for trapping and what not.
Snow storm on the way today and then Monday so plans may change but we do have to move horses next week from one pasture to their winter one.

Staying close to the house and hunting there in morning before coming in to fry turkey. Entertain MIL(?) and hunt in afternoon. Work Friday.
