Public land hunt is full of its ups and downs but eventually, persistence pays off. On this hunt, I'm in search of doe #2 which would earn me a buck tag. I've had my target buck at 15 yards and on this day another good buck at 20 yards, but all I could do is watch and hit record. But persistence paid off and I punched my golden ticket.

Is this public land? That looks like a pile of corn those deer are eating.

Many drawn hunts allow corn, either hand thrown or feeder.

I respect the OP if he doesn't want to say where he's hunting. However he said he has to kill 2 does before he's allowed to shoot a buck. Sounds like maybe Fort Hood,Granger or Somerville? I'm not familiar with the regs on those areas.
