I have been interested in setting up cameras

I probably need to but it is best I do not.

I drive really safe I don't want it recorded.

I have read about few guys or family members having fender benders on the TFF and the person who hit them or was at fault will take responsibility at the scene, but later when it is called into their insurance they change their story and tell there insurance carrier it wasn't their fault and the person who got hit has to claim it on their own insurance.

My wife wants to get them.

I'm about to start using one. I've heard of several wrecks where fault is easily determined at the scene, then retracted once claims get filed. People these days have no morals or standards, and want to run away from their problems and issues that are their fault. They leave the others with their problems. F that. You cause it, you pay for it. You text and drive, you drink and drive, you pay for it.

Many trucking companies are installing them for the same reason. Too many insurance claim scams. The way people drive, it is a good investment. Plus, look at all the sweet internet videos from citizen dash cams from Russia, where they are pretty popular. You could have a youtube channel.

Yes I run one on my truck. Had two claims go south because the person that hit me change story.
I only have one facing forward. They make models that video forward and backwards. Lots of info out there.

Curious about this. I was involved in an accident that totaled my vehicle a few years ago. The other driver admitted fault. The police that responded to the accident completed a report giving their opinion of fault etc. I had no issues what so ever.

Do the insurance companies not go by the police report?

Police are not responsible for assigning fault.

If it's a simple accident, no police are involved. Each party sorts it out. Then it becomes a he said she said deal and often times there's no witnesses or "proof" to show for either side. I've heard of multiple accidents from family and friends that have had issues with shady people to get out of responsibility of something that was the others persons fault.

Whomever the Chief of Police reports to, either the mayor or the City Manager I assume they have been told not to mess with illegals.

The couple times I have dealt with them in a fender bender the police didn't even ask them for any type of Driver License or ID, this was in Dallas and Plano.

I had a Frisco Police guy told me they didn't enforce Federal Laws only state and city ordinance, I however think he may have been mistaken.
