Hi everyone,

I'm an amateur hunter and i have no experience in night hunting, unfortunately. Next month we are going to hunt with my wife's family, and i want you to recommend me good thermal monocular. I feel great potential in night hunting, so i'd like to have a good device. Here i found 2 atn 2 pulsar and 2 flir models. I don't know much about them, but they all seem to be good. I tend to choose pulsar, because i reckon that it's a cross between quality and price. Am i right? ATN is quiet expensive brand.
I like Pulsar Helion, what do would you say about this one? It's expensive too, but i consider this option. There is little info about it, i'll be grateful for comments.
Any suggestions? All feedbacks are welcome!

I'm a big fan of the helion series. They're very solid. I would certainly choose pulsar over ATN for several reasons. Overall quality, customer service, etc.

Depending on your budget, the new Axion key series is very reasonable and good performance for the money.

Hmm... You've made me think. I compared models of Helion and Axion series, Axion cheaper and has better resolution. What criteria should i put attention to?

I would not settle for less than a 38mm objective.

I won't speak for Myron (MDMorrow) but we're friends and think a lot alike.

The Axion is a great little budget monocular and the specs look good on paper but it does not have the image quality of the Helions. It is not a direct competitor to them in the same class of image quality and it wasn't supposed to be. The Axions are a "budget friendly" (if there is a such a thing!) thermal monocular and the image quality is good for the price and the design and housing is, in my opinion, the best I've ever used in a thermal handheld. It's small, super lightweight, extremely ergonomic, removable/rechargeable batteries etc. If excellent image quality is what you're looking for and you're willing to spend more money, I'd definitely look into the Helions.

Last quick note and just a warning.....that review website you linked to are just fake "reviews" of those monoculars to get clicks and referral commissions when someone clicks the link and buys one of those optics on Amazon. First off those are very odd picks and some of them are very old and discontinued, like the Pulsar Quantum XD, it's been discontinued for over 3 years now. If you read the "reviews", they are just taking the specifications and product descriptions and spicing them up to look like a review but in reality they tell you nothing about how the optic actually functions. I just wanted to let you know because there are a lot of these fake review sites out there and they literally never touch a single one of these optics or products. Just FYI.
