The Alabama vs Auburn game has big meaning. Common opponents are considered.

3 loss Auburn beat Oregon.

Georgia beat Auburn by 7.

If Alabama can win in style vs Auburn, they become 4. (Highly unlikely with injuries).

Any hopes for Clemson losing?

If bama wins, I think Pac12 champ oregon gets in over them.

Who knows what will happen. But I think if Alabama beats Auburn they get the edge. Auburn will be 4 loss unranked team who beat Oregon.

The only team that can beat Clemson in ACC is Virginia Tech.

In all seriousness, I have no idea. Any game we play there would be a night “white out” game where rabid fans throw condoms full of urine at our band, and we just don’t want to return the favor I guess....

Ohio state had the top strength of schedule when the first ranking came out. Once they play psu that will probably be true again, as I am not sure bama added enough to LSU to make it go higher. Even if it did, osu finishes with two teams combining for three losses. I don’t think bama or LSU can say that....

If bama beats auburn, then auburn drops out of top 25 with 4 losses. Oregon played them first game of the season, and has done nothing but win since. Bama will not get in given their injuries and the fact that Oregon will likely have a championship win and bama will not. Also, bama will have no wins over a top 25 team. That’s just not a resume to get into the cfp.

When someone says the team with the highest strength of schedule in the top 10 “hasn’t played anybody” that is just plain silly.

If you are unfamiliar with their schedule then look it up.

I think Ohio States toughest opponent was Wisconsin. Who lost to an unranked Illinois.

I think bamas toughest opponent is not very good and gave up 37 to ole miss, while bama only score 41 against them, so that makes bama as good as ole miss....we can do this all day.

It doesn’t matter what you think their toughest opponent was, they have played several teams with two losses including the loss to osu, one whose only loss was to osu, and will give another loss to a one loss team next week. Are there teams remotely close to osu as a team? Nope, considering we beat them all by over 30 points. But what we think doesn’t matter, it’s what the cfp committee thinks and they will move osu up to one after next week when we wallop psu.

Count on that.
