Man. That brought back memories of my two Opas. (German name for grandfather) Both liked to fish and hunt and taught me so much. Now, it's my turn and I'm teaching my grandkids what I learned from them and my Dad.

 Lost both mine way to young. My momma's daddy (Opie) was the hardest death ive had to deal with, damn miss him again now

I never knew my grandfathers. Moms dad was killed in a logging accident when she was 12 and dads father died of cancer when I was 5. I hope I'm giving my grandchildren some good memories.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

One of the neatest memories I have of one of my Opas. We were driving along a creek on the ranch and a brown squirrel started running towards a pecan tree and zipped right up behind a limb. We both ran over there and we couldn't see the squirrel. We circled the tree several times and the squirrel kept circling the limb he was on so we couldn't get a shot. He grabbed a limb on the ground and tossed it on the other side of the tree. The squirrel immediately circled the limb for him to have a perfect shot. BAM. We had us a squirrel dinner I thought he was the smartest man I'd ever known. I used that trick so many times and each time I think of him, I still have the 22 rifle he shot that squirrel with. Thanks Opa for all of the memories.

What that song say Just five more minutes lost one grand dad at 14 and the other one at 36. The first one went at 62, 3 days after he retired the Other one at 83 Black Lung. It sucks no matter what
