Any suggestions on a better camera than this thing? And may be even USA made? This camera I have now is wacky. Sometimes take pictures, sometimes it doesn't. All the corn will be gone with pig and deer tracks everywhere, and no pictures. Batteries are Duracell, over %50 charged. The one I have now Vision 8 Lightsout , barely two years old

I'm happy with the Browning cameras so far.

Reconex made in USA, expensive. Browning liking them so far. Primos hit or miss.

I run about 7 Brownings. Use to buy Wildgame and other brands. Wildgame is the absolute worst in my experience, with zero customer service. I run the 7 Brownings and one Covert and one Spartan cell camera. This has been a good combination for last 3 years or so.

I have many but use 8. The old time Moutries and Cuddies are the most dependable. I tossed a bunch recently. They took a pic every time a pig wiggled its tail.

I have a pile of cameras that were very disappointing. Now I use Reconyx. One has been in the field 10 years and the only thing wrong is it has faded a little. Another was knocked down and drowned in a puddle. They are weatherproof, but they aren't meant for deep puddle diving. Reconyx rebuilt it for a very low price and got it back to me in great shape.
Reconyx has fantastic customer service and takes great pride in their products. If you have any reason to call, you will reach a knowledgable tech quickly who is eager to resolve your problem.
They are expensive but add up the cost of what is in my dead-pile and the Reconyx looks cheap by comparison.
I'll put in a plug for OnTime feeder motors while I'm at it. I won't use anything else. But that is another thread.

Everything that I have ever purchased from Wild Game Innovations has been crap. Not sure how they stay in business. Needless to say I don't buy their products any longer. I have had good luck with the Browning trail cams.

I've got a WGI Blade 5 model. 2012 I believe???
One of the longest lasting cameras I've ever bought. It's now used as a backup and stays inside my ranger at the ranch (because I know it works if needed). You either get a good one or bad, but nothing in between in my experience.

I have 4, 2 work consistently and 2 work when the stars align. Getting tired of messing with them myself. Ready to buy but several other lease members have various brands and terrible luck as well.

Have had a few products from WGI including TC's, none of it had lasting quality. The two pack I bought several years ago (TC), one never worked right the other last about 3 months.
Have had good luck with The Brownings as others have, for the last 5-6 years

Browning strike force is what myself and many others use. Seems to be the best camera on the market at its price point.

I've had several different kinds of Trail cams. Moutrie seems to do good for me. Display is large enough I can read. Some cams had displays with text so small I can't rea with my glasses on.
The other thing I like is fact Moutrie has a simple on/off switch, also seems to be the most consitiant, seems to work. I have 4 Moultrie Cams, 3 of them have Moultrie cell modems. I also have one of the Xi 7000 cell cams. I have a spypoint on my desk thats not working. I have a Wildgame inovations that takes good pics, but I can't always get it set correctly to take pics, can't read the display because of sunlight and small text. Thats why I like the moultrie. I can program one of them before taking it to the field and hang it on a tree in the dark and flip the switch to the down position and walk away.
Thanks, Billy

wildgame are wack job cameras..I stopped running them..seems like first year they are fine after that trash.. I have one that will take pics but when you put the sd card in the computer to be read, it will come up with some crazy file that cant be read.....Trash them and go to Bushnell or Reconyx

Run enough cameras and you'll quickly see there are bad actors with every brand. Some obviously more than others.
The exact reason I run cameras through a long testing phase in the backyard before taking to the field. If and when they fail that test they go right back in the box and to the store for an exchange.
A few months ago I found (2) new Bushnell MP8 cameras (2012 models) at a pawn shop I happened to walk in. Had them put batteries in both and SD card from my truck to test and only one produced pictures at the 50ft test. Bought the one for $40 and it's currently my best camera in the field '

Thanks for the input everyone! Reconyx definitely looks good, but the price is a bit much for me right now. I'll look into the Browning and Moultrie
