Has anyone hunted the 2nd split for MM WMA? Or, anyone living in the area know in general if there are birds hanging around in mid December when the split opens up? I'm trying to decide if MM WMA has opportunity or if I should go south and hunt down that way. My wife and I are going to make a mini vacation out of it, but the goal is to bring back a bird or 2.

2nd split Dove season on any public hunting area is going to be iffy. I would call the WMA and ask if they have birds before making a vacation out of it. The wma manager and staff are going to be your best ombudsmen on that question.

Thanks Sniper John. We're changing strategy - we're going to take a mini vacation instead. up
