Forgive my ignorance, but what other calibers, if any, will a bolt for a 6.5 CM fit? Or can it only be used in the 6.5 CM? I'm talking bolt action, not AR style bolts, and it is on a Rem 700 action....
Thanks

Everything with 0.473" case rim diameter, so all of the .308 based cartridges, all of the 30-06 based cartridges, all of the Mauser cartridges, all of the Benchrest cartridges, and many more.

Thanks Anything with a bolt face of .473" and a short action. Short action is in the 2.800" length range. Long action is in the 3.340" range. For a reference, you can click on the Nosler link and look at certain calibers to see where they fit. They have a case size diagram of all the rounds they list. https://load-data.nosler.com/

This is what I get from having too many Tikkas. They all have the same bolt length, just different bolt stops.

Now I'm curious...
Why would anyone want to get out of the "most amazing" cartridge ever?
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

Why would anyone want to get out of the "most amazing" cartridge ever? I don't, but I have a custom bolt in my 6.5 (fluted, bolt knob, skeletonized, cerakoted) that was fairly expensive and I am going to get another 6.5 built so was wondering if I can switch bolts to one of my other caliber rifles.

If you change bolts on a REM 700 you will have to have the headspace checked.
