NP, you shoot him in the head? or why is his right eye popped out? 390 yards, heavy crosswind going down the canyon, feeding quartering away, and yep - went right in his ear. I would not have believed that bullet would shift to the right so much. Checked rifle when arrived and shot a coyote at 300 the day before no problems - so I doubt the rifle was bumped. Going to check it though. Good thing I was using a monometal, it exited right between his eyes and you had to feel the hole to find it. Zero damage.

Here’s the coyote. Gave it to the outfitter’s daughter (pictured) because they bring about $275 up there. Much bigger than our dogs with much thicker coats for obvious reasons.

No better trophy than a mature mule deer buck IMHO.... Well done. I have been lucky enough to kill 15 muleys to date but none that big yet. Great buck congrats.

Nice deer. Did you weigh it? No. Estimated live weight was 325-350 lbs. Here he is in truck for scale. Thanks for the kind words everyone.
