Had this buck at 30 yards for half hour and passed as barley outside ears. Bet he is 6 yrs plus

This was in Brown county Tx and you can only shoot one buck that is outside the ears. I knew he was outside but wanted something wider as I had a few photos of a big 10pt . It was the right decision as the next trip to the lease was 3 weeks later and I took that tall wide 10 pt from the same blind which had a 20 inch spread. It was meant to be.

The buck in this picture would have been dead if I got the chance. I hunt for mature bucks and he fits that for sure and is a good looking buck.

I really like that pic, he is mature no doubt.......it could work out great for next year even if he stays that narrow he could still put on more mass because I don't think he is older than 5-6 IMO.....
