Old school... This is second buck taken This one was hit, we spent night tracking... Ended up in slew. . Feet were cold, sloshing threw ice. . i had ta work in morning... Deer had doubled back... So we backed our.. At work found out they had found deer, it had back tracked, & didn't travel far before expiring... Tad bit smaller, (weight) than first deer... I still have my tag...  We might tag out early this year,  ice fishing !!! Lakes already getting ice, the days warm it up a bit.... Slug season started, so deer be moving... Its in 40's today, freezes at night... Tis good thing,  dont spoil,  as pappy say's : " mother nature's freezer.. " Going out with crossbow, hunter orange required, public land... Been seeing 3 big bucks, earlier, & few pic's of nice bucks on cam... Best wish's... Keep your head held high & your powder dry...

 All 3 of the deer were taken by family members ... Just wanted ta make that clear. Had a nice buck close on first & second day hunt, but stayed in corn field. Had several does & dawn close. Tis still early... Several other big deer were taken during slug, enclosing a tall tine buck that might have seen Before season opening at public land, last area hunted... Spent morning with mom, & bro making ballonie sausage. Putting on smoker... Getten ready head ta work... Best wish's... Keep your head held high & your powder dry...
