Wanting to get a new pocket pistol. Does anybody have experience with either or both of these? I have a Sig P226 and like Sig. I've never owned a Kimber. I know they had some QC issues when they tried to grow too fast. Any thoughts? And no I don't want more firepower or higher capacity. I've narrowed my choice down to these two. Thanks for your input.

If you are looking at a p238, why not the p938? 9mm and you can hardly notice the size difference between the 238 and the 938.

Obviously it's your choice. I have carried a long time and owned several pieces. 380 is a caliber I would never carry again for two reasons: (1) It tends to be problematic (FTFs) in comparison to .38 special or 9MM. The .38 ammo and 9MM ammo available now is far superior. (2) I carry a Smith .38 in a Kramer pocket holster and I carry a Sig P365 in a pocket holster. Both work well.

380 ammo doesn't have the ballistics that the new lead free self defense rounds have. I have not held a 380 pocket pistol that did not feel too small in my hand or was problematic.

My 2 cents worth.

It's not what you say, or think, that counts. It is what you DO!

Sig P238 my wife and I both carry them.

Remember a gun fight is 3-7' apart or closer. If hit with any modern ammo very good chance they won't be getting back up.
We've had no issues with our P238's.

I'll toss in another option. Springfield 911 .380

Had some FTE during the 1st 50 rounds. Now after 300+ zero issues. But it does not like Fiochhi ammo. Go figure.

Forgot to mention the more you shoot the P238 the smother it gets. I do holster carry mine but fits well in right front pocket or cargo pocket on pants with them. Springfield .380 is also one to look at.
I'm a Sig guy but can't count out other choices.
